We recommend pausing the use of certain supplements and medications that can thin the blood and increase bruising. Some examples encompass Aspirin, Motrin (or various NSAIDs), Ginkgo Biloba, garlic supplements, flaxseed oil, cod liver oil, vitamins A and E, and other essential fatty acids.
It’s best to discontinue these at least 3 days to 1 week before and after your treatment to minimize the likelihood of bruising. However, please consult with your prescribing physician prior to discontinuing any prescribed, over-the-counter, or recommended medications.
The day before your treatment, we recommend avoiding alcohol, as it can increase the likelihood of bruising. On the day of your appointment, it is best to steer clear of caffeine and enjoy a healthy snack beforehand to ensure you feel your best and avoid any potential lightheadedness during the procedure.
